JOB TITLE : IM SITE SYSTEMS MANAGER BAND : 6 DEPARTMENT : COMMERCIAL SERVICES SECTION : INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OPERATION : DE BEERS CONSOLIDATED MINES (PTY) LTD - VOORSPOED MINE PURPOSE AND ROLE IN THE BUSINESS: To take a leadership role in managing the delivery of all IM (Information Management) services to the designated customers within the Kroonstad region. This area includes, but is not limited to: Voorspoed Mine and the Kroonstad office. The aim of the role is to not only add value to the IM customers, but for the successful incumbent to grow the business through exposure to senior levels of business within both DBCM and DBGS. This role will include day to day interaction with both customers and various IM service providers, forward planning and design of new services in conjunction with IM business solutions teams, liaising with your colleagues based at the other DBCM mines and DBGS. KEY RESULT AREAS: • Maintain user and customer relationships • IM Services definition and catalogue including customer service level agreements (negotiations and renewals) • Ensure service levels agreements are met for all IM services and that the services are operating to the right levels. • Review Service Performance and customer service Reports • Administration and management of the site Demand • Coordinate new service requirements from business to relevant IM stream manager and do the introduction of enhanced or new services • Managing and ensuring delivery of all IM site projects • Ensures service providers are operating to the Global IM operating model, governance standards and process maturity • Manages IM Service Charging • Communicates to business regarding IM changes, issue and general IM awareness • Oversee IM governance and policy enforcement • Ability to manage, motivate and work with (and in) diverse teams • General IM Administration and personal effectiveness MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Education & Experience) • Grade 12 or equivalent, plus degree or National Diploma (Computer Science or Information Technology) or any related qualification • 6+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience. Must have hands-on experience in supervising and leading an IT team. • ITIL Foundation Certificate • ITIL Service Management Certification will be an advantage. • This post is dependent on successful completion of the Company’s screening protocol such as being declared medically & physically fit, and security clearance SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES: • Budgeting and financial management skills to manage a budget and to produce business cases for new projects. • Proven track record of Customer Service and Relationship management, with very good understanding of related processes. Service Provider’s management. Must have hands-on experience in managing Service Providers’ performance based on Service Level Agreements and Contracts. • Good understanding of Business Analysis, solution design, and Project Management. • Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework. Must have practical and demonstrable knowledge of ITIL. • Understanding of IT Governance Framework, preferably COBIT. • Sound people management skills • Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills • Business acumen • Ability to manage and resolve critical IT incidents quickly and cost effectively • Technical management skills • Analysis and interpretation of information • Ability to initiate and manage change initiatives • Ability to influence outcomes • Be proactive • Problem solving skills ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: • Please inform your immediate line manager of your intention to apply.
