JOHN YOUNG, ELIZABETH PAIGE ELECTED TO NEW TERMS ON CHRISTINA BOARD OF EDUCATION In the School Board election held on May 13, John Young was reelected to his District D seat, defeating challenger Martin Nicholson by a 60% margin. This is Young’s second term on the Board, and his current term lasts until June 30, 2019. Young has served on the Christina Board of Education since 2009. He is a resident of Newark and is a parent of a student at Shue-Medill Middle School. Elizabeth Paige ran unopposed and will retain her District F seat, which she filled in October, 2013 following the resignation of Gina Backus. She will fulfill this term through June 30, 2016. Paige is a parent of three Christina students who attend Smith Elementary and Newark High School. She attended Stubbs Elementary School and Gauger-Cobbs Middle School, and is a 1995 graduate of Glasgow High School.
