Emmanuel Bwalya Mulenga, O.M.I. I am a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, an international religious congregation with a presence in over 68 countries. I come from Zambia, in Southern Africa. I have five siblings, two brothers and three sisters. I am the fourth child. All of my siblings are back home, and so are both of my parents. I have been a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate since the beginning of 2003. I met and joined them in Zambia. After two years of studying in Zambia, I was sent to the United States to continue with my studies in the summer of 2004. Being an international missionary congregation, we are expected to study and work wherever we have a presence, in one’s home country or in another country. Upon completion of my theological studies in the spring of 2012, I returned home and was ordained in the summer of 2012. I was assigned to work in one of our remote missions on our border with Angola. I worked there until the beginning of this year when I was reassigned to work in the United States as Pastor of St. Augustine Church Parish.
