JOIN the WHITMAN PTSA BOARD! Several important Whitman PTSA Board positions are available for the 2015-16 school year. As a PTSA Board or Committee member, you will have opportunities to enhance education, create community and improve school environment at Whitman Middle School. It’s a great way to get involved! Please consider volunteering for one of these positions on our Board: -- Co-President – Oversee and manage the Whitman PTSA for a 2-year term beginning in 2016. Provide leadership to the dedicated parents and staff who work tirelessly to support of all our students. -- Vice President, Communications – Edit the Whitman News, our weekly E-newsletter, and distribute stand-alone email messages about school events, PTSA meetings, and community activities. -- Co-Vice President Fundraising– Run the Annual Giving Campaign and coordinate passive fundraising. -- Vice President, Volunteer Coordinator – Recruit volunteers for various school events, tutoring, baking, etc. and maintain a volunteer database with contact info. -- Whitman Funky Formal Chair(s) – Plan the Funky Formal Event, our annual parent/teacher dance and silent auction fundraiser. -- School Picture Day Coordinator – Coordinate School Picture day and retake day at the beginning of the year.
