JOY... We are super -victors with a joy that comes from experiencing the very things which look as if they are going to overwhelm us. Huge waves that would frighten an ordinary swimmer produce a tremendous thrill for the surfer who has ridden them. Lets apply that to our own circumstances. The things we try to avoid and fight against -- tribulation, suffering, and persecution -- are the very things that produce abundant joy in us. We are more than conquerers through Him in all these things; not in spite of them, but in the midst of them (Romans 8:37). A saint doesnt know the joy of the Lord in spite of tribulation, but because of it. Paul said, I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation (2 Corinthians 7:4). - My Utmost for His Highest. Oswald Chambers. ~~~~~~ True joy is a by-product of living in My Presence. Therefore you can experience it in palaces, in prisons... anywhere. Do not judge as devoid of Joy just because it contains difficulties. Instead, concentrate on staying in communication with Me... If you make problem-solving secondary to the goal of living close to Me, you can find Joy even in your most difficult days. - Jesus Calling. Sarah Young. ~~~~~~ 17 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. - Habkkuk 3:17-19 NIV ~~~~~~ 8 Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done. 9 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts. 10 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 11 Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. 12 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced, 23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. 24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. 25 For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. 27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 28 Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. 29 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his[e] holiness. 30 Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!” 32 Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them! 33 Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. 34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. - 1 Chronicles 16: 8-12, 23-34 NIV
