JPPF an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations a united voice of the Jammu province while discussing the nature’s fury causing Himalayan Tsunami in Uttrakhand expressed deep concern and anxiety over the huge destruction in the state because of cloudbursts on the night of 16th and 17th June 2013 which left thousands of yatries dead, unknown number of missing and thousands trapped in the flash of flood affected areas with huge slips disconnecting the areas from rest of the State & country as well. Loss of lives and property is beyond imagination,Th Pavitar singh the President lauded the role of Armed and ITBP personnels for their self less and determined efforts in helping the people in the aftermath of disaster. Members of JPPF expressed condolence to the families of peoples died of this major natural calamity and also the families of IAF,ITBP and NDRF who lost their lives in the Helicopter crash during rescue operation in Uttrakhand, in totality 20 Jawans were martyred out of which one Sh Bhim Singh serving inspector of ITBP from Bobyian village Kathua also scarified his life in Uttrakhand rescue operation all FORUM members observed 2 minute silence to homage to the departed soul with prayer to the almighty god to bestow courage to the grieved family to bear the irreparable loss. JPPF also discussed the role of administration at both State as well central level and confirmed that both the govts utterly failed to streamline the recue operation, top level leaders inspite of taking serious steps to smoothen the rescue functioning seen busy in doing aerial surveys as well as making it a political battle at the cost of lives of thousands of poor and help less people, even the govt failed to put a check on the personnels who started looting dead bodies and charging hefty amounts to rescue them or to take them to the safer places. No proper arrangements were made to deliver relief material to the needy personnel in organised manner the govt should identify those dacoits who charged heavy amounts even for drinking water and looted jewelry from the people, overall a big chaos was seen every where, JPPF appreciated the efforts of Patanjali Yogpeeth who established their camps in far flung areas and helped needy peoples by providing them medicines and eatables,Memebers who were present are S.Gajan Singh, Sh M.S.Katoch,Kr Narayan singh,Sh Inderjit Khajuria, Rajiv Mahajan (State President Shri Ram Sena), Sh M.L.Sharma,Sh.Amrit Magotra, ,Sh P.S.Slathia,Smt Sunita Sharma, Prof. B.L Bhardwaj, Avinash Bhatia, Gajan Singh Khajuria and others.
