JSS How did you read that? Or did you even bother to read it? In most cases, you either ignored it all together or read it as the letters J S S from the alphabet; its rare that you actually read it as Jay Shree Swaminarayan What do JSS, JS, JSN, JSW, JSK, JSR all mean? They are all meaningless! If Bhagwan wanted us to use these short forms, he would have told us to chant the mala by chanting jss, jss, jss, etc... Imagine how fast we would finish 1 mala in comparison to having to chant Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan etc...Or doing mantralekhen, imagine how much we could fit into a book if we only had to write jss, jss, jss, etc.. Why would anybody be so silly to waste time writing Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan, etc...? Why dont we do the dhun as as just singing, bolo re S, bolo re S, S bolo, JS bolo as opposed to Bolo re Swaminarayan, Bolo re Swaminarayan, Swaminarayan Bolo, Jay Swaminarayan Bolo The beauty and the bliss is in the full mantra, not the first letter! It is our Pass code to unlocking the doors to Akshardham, access WILL be denied if the pass code is wrong! Get into the practice of saying the right pass code! It is our humble request; please, please, please stop using short forms, they are as good as NOTING! Next time your friends use it, tell them not to as it does not mean anything and that they should save their and your time by not writing it at all if they cannot write it in full. IF YOU REALLY MEAN TO SAY THE LORDS NAME THEN YOU WOULD NOT TAKE SHORTCUTS TO DO SO. While we are at it, a few devotees make the effort of writing it in full but then they ruin the effort by splitting Swami and Narayan; thats not correct, its Swaminarayan! Or what about those who say it so fast or without due care and the outcome is something that sounds like Jemsamnaran as opposed to Jay Shree Swaminarayan or Jay Swaminarayan. We can be careless in anything else but how could we show carelessness in saying the Lords Name correctly? NOTE: As of 26th August 2012, we have blocked all of the short forms discussed above from being posted on our page; if a devotee types any of the above short forms in a post or a comment, the content will be automatically marked as spam and not be visible to anybody except themselves. Jay Shree Swaminarayan Jay Shree Krishna Jay Shree Ram
