JUDGES AND MAGISTRATES THREATEN INDUSTRIAL STRIKE. GIVE GOVERNMENT 21 DAYS TO RESOLVE THEIR GRIEVANCES OR FACE INDUSTRIAL BOYCOTT The Judges of the High Court, SCA and the Magistrates across Malawi have warned Government that they will down their tools if their grievances on salary increment, housing allowances and procurement of new vehicles are not addressed within a period of 21 days. The Judges have bemoaned the uncaring and inconsiderate attitude by Government for going back on its word and doing nothing on terms and conditions which were agreed upon before like revision of housing allowances and salary increments. Government had also agreed to procure new vehicles for judges and magistrates if their vehicle clocked 150 000KMs, which is not being done at the moment.
