Ice cream is a very popular dessert in the United States. Each year, Americans consume about 13 liters of ice cream per person, which is the most in the world. On July 17, 1938, skilled American aviator Douglas Corrigan, received the nickname “Wrong Way” after he “accidentally” flew to Ireland on a flight from Long Beach, CA, to New York. Apparently, heavy cloud coverage during his flight caused Corrigan a navigational error resulting in him somehow ending up in Ireland! Was it a true error?
