JULY 2010 OVERTHRUST FIRST DRUMMER-BIST THUNDER DISBAND FROM OVERTHRUST When Overthrust started in 2010 it had two drummers, Bist Thunder and his nephew who was by then a trainee drummer for Overthrust-Suicide Torment. Before joining Overthrust in 2010, Bist was also a former drummer for Death metal Band by the name “Vitrified” based in Maun and he was also operating as a taxi driver apart from music. So when the band started all was going well until Bist ex-drummer ‘s personal issues started to interfere with the band activities, Other band members confronted him by asking him if all was alright and the members were ready to help him as a sign of caring for other band members but to no avail.as time goes on Bist’s attitude started to affect the band negatively, he started uttering some words like, the band was not helping with anything as he has a family to support and that he was not working. Bist was operating as a taxi driver in Ghanzi apart from being a member of Overthrust. There was a time when Bist was going through emotional distress and when other members of the band try to ask him in order to assist where ever they can, he will dismiss them and tell them there can’t help him with anything and one day he told the band in a meeting that he want them particularly the front man to buy a taxi so he can operate it and stop operating strangers taxis, this was a difficult demand for the band or maybe a plan to leave the band. So sometimes in July 2010 Bist went on holiday to Maun and never came back and when the band management called him in hiss cellphone he will not answer his phone or he will give it to someone to answer us, who will then tell us that Bist can’t make it because he has problems .So Suicide Torment, the current drummer with immediate effect started to have a full time rehearsal with the band and he was doing alright, he was a very fast leaner and he liked what he was doing. That was on the end of July 2010 when Suicide started rehearsing a total of 7 tracks for Overthrust, the tracks which were to be played at Augustus Metal Fest in the within the month of August, so Suicide managed to learn 7 tracks within 3 weeks and played them on his very first stage in Gaborone and a lot people did not believe it. On the 10th October 2010 Suicide Torment was permanently and officially signed as Overthrust deathmetal band. Bist was told about it through the phone . Somewhere around November 2010 Bist came to Gantsi with intent to go play a show in that month and Overthrust dismissed him after betraying them and not being loyal to the band.
