JUNE CME REPORT : 2 Fever Cases For NJH CME on 26-6-14 at Smruti by Dr Shobha Shah: Objectives: 1) Perceiving Characteristics from given data and making the totality in fever cases. 2) Learning to apply Theory of Acutes mobile app in acute fever. 3) Learning to read Body language in children’s cases. Case 1) Miss X, 19yrs, studying in 2nd yr Engineering Mother, who is a Homoeopath called up at 9pm: Daughter is having high fever since morning. Do had gone to college, her vivas are going on. She called mo from there to come to station to pick her as she was having lot of weakness. Data received from Pt: Pt said when she woke up in the morning, she had pain in abdomen which was better after taking breakfast. Stool – N, No Diarrhoea, No vomiting. She had mild headache and she was feeling little weak. This she thought might be bec of late and incomplete sleep. Today was her last viva and she slept only 4hrs during night as she was studying. During Vivas and Practicals, suddenly from around 9.30-10am, she started feeling body warm++, she was feeling very hot. (Otherwise she is a chilly patient). Headache++ which was pulsating, consolation and company desires to ) 4. Strong observation of the patient’s physical condition can tell a lot about the patient and helps in rubric selection further helping find the simillimum ( case 2 . patient was lying like a log – stupor) 5. The CME as usual was full of lots of discussion and opinions , observations and all left with a new insight to further treat patients in a still better manner. 6. the THEORY OF ACUTES App helps a lot in acute cases where there are 2-3 criterias and prescription hints are obtained. the hints guide the physician to narrow down to THE perfect simillimum with the help of symptom similarity.
