JUNIOR GAME REVIEW - Under 10 White Today we had tough opposition traveling to Greenvale for a 11am game. They have been traveling pretty well and today we all needed to be switched on and ready to play 4 quarters of good footy. Benn Captained the side and Jack was Vice Captain. We won the toss and kicked with a slight wind advantage. The first quarter Greenvale’s intensity was high and our kids struggled against some fierce tackling. Our back line was under constant pressure, but we kept Greenvale to 1 goal 2 behinds for the quarter. In the second quarter after some minor changes to the field to try and swing the momentum our way, the kids did well but again we were unable to break clear and get it into our 50. The back line again was under severe pressure by Greenvale. We kept them to 2 goals 2 behinds for this quarter (3-4-22). After the half time break the kids found the intensity that we normally see and lifted turning the table where we started winning the ball. The ball stayed within our 50 most of the quarter with a superb goal from Senu Melewwe. The kids kept Greenvale scoreless this quarter while we scored 1 Goal and 1 Behind. The last quarter the kids came out with the same intensity as the third quarter and looked great. We lost a couple of players mid way through the quarter due to injury which hurt us on the scoreboard. But as true champions that they are, they came back on and fought right until the end. The final score was Greenvale 5-9-39 to Burnside Heights 1-1-7. Man of the Match was Ben Parsons. Matt DeGabrielle Assistant Coach
