JUST ANOTHER DAY! ================== Good evening, people. I know many of you wont read this.But if you still continue to read this, Thank you! As today is new year my parents wanted me to go to church with them. Yes, at midnight!! I wasnt interested, yet, out of compulsion, I went. And so our journey towards the new year started. I sat inside the car staring blankly through the window. It was so quiet. Even your own breath could echo.There were few policemen checking the documents of two guys. The church came. I am not a regular church-goer. So, seeing the church decorated with all the lights I was like wow! We entered and found ourselves places to sit. I was not listening to the mass with full attention. I was there reluctantly as I considered sleep to be more important. Many things were running through my mind. When we came back to the entrance to get back home,I saw two old people sitting on the cold floor and asking for offerings. Yes, they were beggars! I offered them both what I could. Since then, few things were running on my mind,bugging me. When hundreds of people were celebrating new year, it was just another day for these poor souls. It was nothing special to them other than expecting more offerings this day. To the dogs that wandered in the street in the biting cold, it was just another day. To the policemen in the duty, it was just another (irritating) night. To the children in the streets, it was just another day. To the mom who works as a servant in many houses just to feed her child, it was just another day. When we were busy exchanging new year wishes, there were few people, left alone, unnoticed, unloved, to whom it was just another (struggling) day. All these thoughts made me write something this big. Improving just ourselves is not important, but also to improve the lives of people living amidst us is a quite BIG THING to do. I hope this helps at least one person in anyways.
