JUST FOR TODAY, I will live my dream and not someone elses. Is it not true that most people merely endure life? Is it not true that the beginning of another day signals another round of despair for most people? Of what use is a life lived, not according to my own script, but according to anothers? I will write my own script, and play the leading role in the movie of my life. And when this movie, which will be titled:This is your life, is played to me at the end of my sojourn on this earthly plane, I shall nod with pleasurable gratification, and say, Indeed, this is my life! What joy can there be in working towards someone elses dream, instead of mine? Behold, life will present many opportunities. And these opportunities will come disguised as the critical choices I have to make at the various bends on the road of life. And what choices will I make? I will make choices that are mine, and mine alone. I will make choices that are my exclusive preserve and possession. Even if they turn out fatal errors of judgement. For, concealed in those errors are my lessons for better judgement in the future. And, gradually, as my choices start aligning with my authentic destiny, my life will undergo a remarkable transformation. Admittedly, at the beginning, the bridges may be dauntingly narrow, and the road riddled with menacing potholes and craters. But these challenges will seem more like an adventure, since both challenges and dreams belong to me. For me, life will yet turn out a constellation of happy, relevant coincidences. For, is it not true that as I elect to pursue my dreams with passion, the universe will start to engage in a delightful conspiracy to turn my dreams to reality? Did I hear you say,But life is not a bed of roses? I couldnt agree more. Even if life is a bed of thorns, my pain will be barely noticeable because my horizon of success looms invitingly ahead. O God of all creation, give me the courage to discard anothers luggage for mine! Such that, rather that awakening to a dull and boring day, my day shall be haloed with such a riot of colors that the rainbow will become green with envy! And when I make my triumphant exit from this earthly plane, the epitaph on my tomb will read:Here lies a dreamer who wrote his script, played his script, directed his script and produced his script!
