JUST TAKE UR TIME & READ. , , , , , , , ,Blood Donation: Sahara Reporter Columnist Mocks Bukola Saraki, says donated blood infested with “Corruption” Our Reporters A columnist with a popular online medium, Sahara Reporters, Professor Pius Adesanmi, has once taken an erstwhile Governor of Kwara State, Sen. Bukola Saraki, to the cleaners over his blood donation to victims of Abuja bomb blast. Adesanmi, who is also a Professor of English Language and Literature at the Institute of African Studies at Carleton University, mocked the former Governor, saying his blood might have been infested with ‘corruption’. Adesanmi who posted the scathing remarks on his facebook page, said as much as he appreciated the blood donation by well-meaning Nigerians like Mr. Aminu Tambawul in response to the Nyanya tragedy, he was however worried about the effect of Sen. Saraki’s blood on the recipients of his blood donation. He asked rhetorically; “What if on receiving Bukola Saraki’s blood I develop an insatiable appetite for depositors’ funds after the transfusion? Should the recipient of this particular blood donation be isolated, placed under observation for five years, and prevented from working within ten kilometres of a bank during this observation period?” “What sort of blood bank would that be? Sometimes, being a Jehovah’s Witness is an excellent way to avoid having to deal with some potentially tricky situations.” E-Kwara recalls that Senator Saraki had on Wednesday visited the National Hospital, Abuja to donate blood to victims of the bomb blast in response to calls by the management of the hospital. Although analysts received the timely donation as good gesture, but condemned its politicization by aides of Mr. Saraki. They queried why what should ordinarily have been a private, solemn outing was turned to a media ‘paparazzi’ by aides of the Governor, who minutes after the donation, flooded the airwaves with pictures of him on a hospital bed. One of such critics was Mr. Henry Similore who wrote on his facebook wall thus: What manner of a person will make a big deal out of donating blood for people in need of it? If not out of deciet, mischief and desperation! If only all of us can be in Abuja at once,I’m sure there would have been enough blood by now. While the self acclaimed “leader” is busy propagating his donation of blood, information has it that Sen. Gbemi Saraki was at the Kwara State Civil Service Clinic, Ilorin this afternoon, giving succour to the patients most of whom are Civil Servants that are poorly paid with little or nothing welfare packages from the state government lead by the “leader” and his stooge governor. I’m yet to see her post her gesture on the social media! Also, a man that goes by the name Richard Abe Bolanle on facebook, said “with such donations, Nigerians who received the blood, would have been transformed to international thief thief….” On his part, Egheomhanre Eyieyien stated that, “Senator Bukola Saraki usually bleeds others just as he did at Société Générale Bank which he BLED to death as the CEO. So it is a novel sight seeing Source : eKwara
