JUST found this out. More water issues for Weirton. The Weirton Area Water Board has announced from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. today, water service will be off through the following areas: Owings Addition, including all streets west of North 12th Street and north of Pennsylvania Avenue including all of North 10th Street; Fairview, Elk, Weirview, Thurman, Titus, Mahan and all side streets including Steel Boulevard, Wares Drive and Summit Circle in Harris Hills. The outage will allow maintenance crews to replace isolation valves along North 12th Street which are used to service the areas. The areas in question may also experience discolored water throughout the day so customers should refrain from washing laundry to prevent rust from staining laundry. Following the outage, the areas in question also will have a boil order in effect because of the loss of water pressure in the lines servicing these areas.
