JUSTICE FOR EJIGBO 3: MATTER ARISING: Its imperative to illustrate more hapstance in this domain now that the authority is closing on the perpetrators and the seeming welfare being made readly available to the victims thanks to the unrelenting efforts of the patriots. It would not be out of place if we didnt trace the genesis of this actions that has almost become global embarrassment save for the timely intervention of some activists that cry for justice. Ejigbo is a suburb of Lagos state in the old Isolo local government now with its own LCDA and elected chairman. Ejigbo LCDA is being co govern by a notorious king by the name Oba Moroof, since this man has been install as the oba of ejigbo during the tenure of Asiwaju Bola ahmed Tinubu, ejigbo residents has not had it good in term of his king penchant for notoriety. In those day before the advent of Fashola, Ejigbo was known for an area where if your goat lost look for it , of your fowl lost look for it but if you are looking for your lost ward dont search for him or her because he or she may not be found, why because, the cult festival ( Oro) which normally took place in the dead night are often declare to be observed in the broad day light by Oba Moroof, much as i will say that many of ejigbo residents can attest to it here or elsewhere , i also personally witnessed same in 2007 while in my friends house overnight till noon day and i was told i cant go out to my because Oro was being observed and exclaimed that how can Oro be done in the afternoon that was when i received the shock of my life that it has being the practice for some time since this Oba was installed, but the coming to office by Fashola put paod to that. Apart from what i knew about the area due to my frequent visit there when the administration of this chairman performance was being appraise by my group vote for service initiative with other comrades, during my discreet investigation into this new dastardly acts my inbox here was being awashed by the residents of the environs cataloging the atrocities of this Oba to includes connivance with the gani Adams faction of opc to terrorised the residents while the Lcda chairman an ally of the oba look the other side. I was also made to understand that the Oba has a filling station which since inception no tanker has dispensed fuel there yet fuel are sold there and that this was attributed to the fact that Obas house was built beside pipeline hence not ruling out third leg of fuel supply. One resident opined that unless the Oba is thoroughly question on the recent menance and other ones that has being done, the one witness now will be a child play to the one coming because he has turn himself to a feudal lord that defile authority therefore act with impunity. This can be attest to by the fact that one of the suspects by the name Ade lives and work in the palace and often represent the interest of the Oba in the market where this incident occur and true to the story by our informant during the dicreet investigation, the police has to raod the obas palace to arrest this Ade and other suspects being paraded. I believe there is government on ground in environ and with a head who suppose to serve as chief security officer at the local level, but i was made to understand that the chairman is afriend to the Oba and the oba dictate what happen and happen not to the chairman, we were even made to understand that many of the non performance postire of the local government was due to the influence of the Oba on the chairman and truly this can be attested to while going round the local government virtually all the inner road of Ejigbo are impassable and deplorable not to talk of drainages, when rain falls the popular iyana ejigbo is an eye saw and when you try to bring his the chairman attention to it , he results to blame game or outright falsehood. It will also interest all to know that in the cause of my investigation of the ejigbo 3 incident i was informed that the CSO to the chairman in person of mr.Femi Olowu cant be view innocent from all the nefarious activities that happen in ejigbo, it was first inbox to me and to be double sure i made a call to one of my on the ground informant who happen to be a leader of opc on that environ and it was confirmed that Femi olowu is a canver they are endure in the domain. I try to call the chairman to intimate him about my findinds and to tell him to caution his CSO but he refused to pick , he later send text that he is in a meeting but failed to call me back till now. All this i said so that the problems in that area can be unearthed and ones and for all laid to rest and the residents can for once live in peace of the leaders who suppose to protect them but become their predators. And that the Lagos state government can be aware and if they are aware before but keep quiet for political reasons they have to know that their silence is no longer golden as the residents of that area not only that they dont enjoy the presence of government interm of infrastructure but that they live in fear of the Oba and others connected to him.
