JUSTICE MARKANDEY KATJU BLOCKED ME FOR QUESTIONING HIM ON HIS COMMENTS ABOUT RAHUL GANDHI. Friends and followers of Hon’ble Mr.Justice Markandey Katju, I’ve been blocked from commenting upon J.Katju’s facebook page and my posts are being deleted from there it seems. I used to react to most of his posts and many of them appeared and I got reply from him many a times. This time, I think the immediate provocation was my reaction to one of his posts critical of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. The following was the post and the comments (including mine) as it appeared originally. Markandey Katju 1 hr • Sonia Gandhi only wants to shove Rahul Gandhi down the throats of 1250 million Indians, just like Indira Gandhi wanted to shove Sanjay Gandhi down our throats Prashant Padmanabhan i dont agree to that view __ Rahul Gandhi is coming up through a democratic process of Elections. Like • Reply • 1 • 59 mins Markandey Katju Prashant Padmanabhan : Yes, there is so much democracy that billee oonth le gayi to haan ji haan ji kehna is the maxim of that party Like • 7 • 48 mins Arham Husain Faizi hahahaha u and your examples are amazing Mr Katju. Like • 1 • 15 mins Swarnjeet Brar Billi uth lai gyi then why are people worried. Isnt these unwanted suggestion. Tell us about Ashe din and why law fails to deliver justice. Ex 84 Like • 6 mins Amit Anand sir there is a big difference between Rahul gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi... Like • Reply • 1 hr Markandey Katju Amit Anand : I regard both totally undeserving to be anything in politics Like • 5 • 59 mins The above post is not seen now. Thereafter, I have made one more comment and it seems it is also deleted. I’ve not saved the subsequent comment in my computer and can’t reproduce verbatim but the substance was like this. “Sir, earlier you had asked “what caste he represents” (about Arvind Kejriwal) and subsequently he became the Chief Minister of Delhi. dnaindia/india/report-anna-hazares-protests-lack-scientific-ideas-markandey-katju-1817291 You had severely criticized Modi and went upto the extent of saying that “I appeal to Indian people to consider all this if they are really concerned about the nation’s future, otherwise they may make the same mistake which Germans made in 1933.” justicekatju.blogspot.in/2013/02/all-perfumes-of-arabia.html Subsequently, Modi became the Prime Minister of this country. You were magnanimous enough to admit that after becoming Prime Minister, Modi has not acted in a partisan manner. This is despite the fact that many in the BJP top leadership hate you for your past comments. Applying the same yardstick, can we expect that you would change your stand, if Rahul Gandhi proves to be worthy of leadership. We know that you are large hearted and we expect a reply. …………………………. The above post was deleted and I did not get a reply. …………………….. It’s a matter between me and Justice Katju and why should I post it here. Well, I had invited many friends to like his facebook page and they had done so. I used to comment upon his opinions one way or the other. Henceforth, I would not be able to do so and I’m informing my friends here about the reasons. …………………….. Justice Katju is large hearted and he has the qualities to be open minded and vocal with the innocence of a child. He had blocked many friends earlier and subsequently on their unconditional apologies un-blocked them. This, I have read from his own posts. If he is again doing it, I may or may not apply for “pardon” / unconditional apology. I may not apply for un-blocking also. Because, I was spending so much time reacting to so many of his comments. I am trying to slowly learn the law and establish as a lawyer while Hon’ble Mr.Justice Markandey Katju has retired after reaching the pinnacle of his career and he is now enjoying the retired life. I can’t afford to be his active “friend”. ……………………………………………………. I’m reminded of an old incident and am unable to restrain myself from sharing it here. In the past, Justice V.R.Krishna Iyer had also severely criticized Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi has written back to Justice Krishna Iyer. Krishna Iyer then apologized to Rahul Gandhi and said this “Forgive me if I have been bitter in my letter to you. I am too old (97)” ……….. Well that was Krishna Iyer and Rahul Gandhi himself reacted. Krishna Iyer then apologized. This time it was Justice Markandey Katju and the reaction was different.
