JUSTICE SOCORRO INTING For Vice President Justice Socorro Inting is one of the first five homeowners who settled in Katarungan Village 21 years ago. She was then an Asst. Prosecutor in the City of Manila.In 1997, she joined the judiciary as MeTC Judge in Makati. In three years time, she as promoted to the Regional Trial Court of Manila. In 2010, she was appointed Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals. While concentrating on her career growth and raising her daughter single-handedly, Justice Inting still found the time to actively engage in the affairs of the village either as an officer/director of KVHAI or as a simple homeowner. As KVHAI President in 2003-2005, she has introduced significant innovations and improvements in the village, most notable of which is the opening of the Daanghari gate. As Director of Purok 7 under the Suarez Administration, she is proud to claim as her most challenging endeavor the success of the “No to Greenheights Movement” which she organized together with Vice Pres. Josie Savedia and Director Luisa Esporlas to counter the: 1) strong arm of City Hall bent on opening an access road from Greenheights to Katarungan Village, and 2) influence of KVHAI Directors/Officers who supported City Hall despite result of survey showing the objection of a big majority of the homeowners. As Vice President, Justice Inting shall, among others • introduce reforms/control in the handling of KVHAI funds which is vulnerable to dissipation under the present system. • Prohibit the giving of compensation/honorarium/allowance to KVHAI • Directors and Officers which is a breach of delikadesa and a violation of the Magna Carta of the Homeowners and Homeowners’ Association. • Advocate the “Tuwid na Daan” in the management of KVHAI projects
