JUSTIFICATION By Fred Trokie Justification is a divine act whereby an infinitely Holy God judicially declares a sinner to be righteous and acceptable before God, based on the sinners belief in Christ’s death, burial and resurrection (the gospel 1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Galatians 2:16 Nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law ; since by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified. Justification springs from the fountain of Gods grace. Titus 3:4-7 4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Justification is not something that occurs in man, nor is it a process. It refers to the legal, judicial and forensic declaration of God. It is to declare forensically that the demands of the law as a condition of life are fully satisfied with regards to the one who believes the gospel for salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Acts 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 1 Corinthians 6:11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. When a sinner by faith, trusts in Jesus Christ, God imputes Christ’s perfect righteousness upon him. God the Father declares that the man is justified in the heavenly court, based on Christs finished work on the cross. It is as if that individual had never committed sin. Isaiah1:18. Come now, and let us reason together, Says the LORD, Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow ; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool. God views all believers in Jesus Christ as having obtained the perfect righteousness of Christ, for now and forever God Bless – Fred
