JUSUN & THE DEMOCRATS: A CONSPIRACY! It is no longer news that staff of the Nigerian Judiciary have embarked on nation-wide strike to press home their demand: financial autonomy of the judiciary. First of all,let me prefix my remarks by saying that this strike is a fight for a just cause. However, I want to think that it is only in Nigeria that such sensitive institutions as the Judiciary go on strike.This (development? no ) embarrassment depicts the irredeemable state of recklessness in the affairs of government under the able leadership of PDP/GEJ. Yes, we are running democrary. But Nigerians should know that this sort of politics of terrprising judiciary-the last hope of the common man- did not happen in the military era. I recall how their lordships embarked on judicial activism to overcome a situation of hopelessness the judiciary was plunged into during military regime. Today, paradoxically, proponents of democracy are now raping and defiling thesame institution that is the foundation of democracy. The point I have been struggle to make is that the JUSUN strike is not a coincidence. That is part of the strategies of democrats to shut the court door to those who will be rushing to the court for redress. Without the court, the deposed Adamawa Governor will be at sea. For the Nasarawa man, it is going to be a free ride. These cases are the begining of worst days to come. But for crying out loud,there is a political romance going on between the strking JUSUN staff and the democrats. It is a big conspiracy! I hope have made the point that at the end of the strike, big beneficiary is not the judiciary but the DEMOCRATS.
