Jace and I sat up the other night and watched Son of God together. We talked about some of the things that were different from the movie and the Bible and I was surprised at what he knew. I think sometimes we dont realize how much our children truly are listening and what they are picking up. The end of the movie was of course hard to watch and when I shut it off he simply burst into tears. He asked why He had to die (even though he truly knew) and then the inevitable......why Kalin? We sat and cried together for a long time discussing how we dont always understand Gods plan but that He loves us so much. And how he WILL see his brother again. It was funny because we talked about how strong he will be up in heaven and Jace said he will probably pick me up and squeeze me super hard! :) I said yes! I bet he will. So grateful for these discussions....difficult....but most definitely needed......
