Jackson County Office of the Sheriff Shift Activity Sunday, May 11, 2014 0940hrs Deputy Leighton responded to Carson Avenue for a welfare check. 1109hrs Deputy Leighton responded to W. Michigan Avenue to assist Summit Fire. A subject was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant and cited under the Summit Township ordinance for possession of marijuana and false info to police. 1223hrs Sergeant Knoblauch responded to Halstead Blvd. for an alarm. 1333hrs Deputies Price and Barnett responded to Bloomfield Blvd. in Norvell Township for a trouble with subjects report. 1440hrs Deputy Leighton responded to Walcott Avenue for a suspicious situation report. 1532hrs Deputy Leighton responded to Commons Blvd. for a welfare check. 1607hrs Deputy Wichar responded to Sharon Valley Road for a found handgun. 1630hrs Deputies Price and Barnett responded to Ann Arbor Road to assist Blackman Township with an OWI. 1835hrs Deputy Easter responded to King Rd. for a domestic situation report. 1917hrs Deputy Sukovich responded to Overhill for a domestic situation report. 2114hrs Deputies Moore and Coughlin responded to W. Washington for a trouble with a subject. 2141hrs Deputy Garrett responded to Michigan near Hayball for a car vs. deer traffic crash. 0311hrs Deputy Sukovich attempted to make contact with four subjects at McDevitt near Francis Street. Two of the subjects ran from the scene. Sukovich was able to detain the other two. Both subjects were cited for MIP. Deputies responded to 37 calls for service, conducted 28 traffic stops, and made 1 arrest.
