Jackson Family Vacation Day 5: a little late posting, but I was wiped out last night! Saturday is always my favorite day of the conference. First its the video featuring all the kids. Then the picnic. Always amazing food and sweet times talking with our friends and playing with all the kids. Then the emotional balloon release honoring the angels that have left us too soon. Tim and I were honored to release balloons for some families we know who could not be at the conference. I always cry, for the kids we used to see at the conference, but who we now honor, and I cry because I know that some of the children here with us at this balloon release may not be with us at the next. Thats the reality we live with every day. After the balloon release a lot of us go swimming. Then there is the auction. Its a big fund raiser for SOFT and always a blast. I bought 2 handmade quilted pillows. We crashed after the auction so it meant we had to pack this morning. This day is the worst day because it is goodbye day. To all my SOFT family...have a safe, healthy year til we see each other again...in Salt Lake City! I so love that we have Facebook to keep up with each other in the mean time! We are heading home, or towards home with an extra. We kidnapped a Virginian. She will be with us for 9 days. We are going to show her all of Milan. Not sure what we will do the other 8 days, 23 hours and 45 min Ha!
