Jaime Lannister has nothing on this jellyfish. This jelly is found in tropical and temperate waters around the world. It was named after stinging a man named Robert King in 2002. King felt a mild initial sting, but was soon overcome with acute widespread pain. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors worked tirelessly to save his life. His blood pressure spiked, he lost consciousness, and he died after an artery in his brain blew out about two days after the initial sting. Not all Kingslayer stings are lethal. Best case scenarios leave sting victims feeling miserable for a day, but they do recover.
