Jake update, day 3. He is doing very well. Cant reach the stiches to lick them, his head is too big-ha. Can only reach the very bottom of his wound and hasnt done any damage to it. We did notice he attempted to scratch which was the main thing we worried about, but he legs are so long, he could only reach the shoulder area where it is shaved, so all is going well. Taking he medication like a champ, aways helps that he loves ham, where I cut a slice in and insert all 4 pills. His appetite is still not like it was, but he is eating some. Still hates being lead around outside on a leash and he walked me around the yard quite a while this morning before he found the perfect spot. Thanks everyone for your post sand concerns. Only 11 days to go to have the stitches out. :-)
