James 1:2-4 – “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall - TopicsExpress

James 1:2-4 – “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.” -Contrary to what many people would expect in the Christian experience, we should have “joy” when we face trials and tribulations. If you have heard a “health and wealth happiness gospel”, you may be following a false gospel, and when discouraging circumstances arise, it will be very easy to fall away. God sometimes uses these troubles and difficulties that Christians often go through to make us stronger. It allows us to be tested in our faith. When we trust God enough to get us through any and all of life’s promised problems, we develop patience and or endurance. This will help produce the perfect work of a fully developed Christian character. Always remember that whatever trial you are enduring that God “will never leave you or forsake you”, and that “you can do all things in Christ Who will give you strength.” God’s promises for us are as good as gold, timeless, and are here for you when you need them. If you need help or further advice, contact an elder of your church, or if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, shoot us a private message and we will do our best to encourage, build you up, and keep you strong in the faith. May God bless you, keep you, and be with you every step of the way, and as always – Stay on fire for Christ!
