James 1:2-5-(the living bible version)-Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, 3 for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete. If theres one thing that will probably have to deal with for the rest of our earthly lives, its the fact that temptations and difficulties will always come our way and attempt to either slow us down or permanently stagnate us, this is a reality that if one refuses to accept, will be in for a very big surprise. In a world full of evil and the devil and his cohorts daily scheming and coming up with strategic plans to lead as many as possible to the kingdom of hell, one who is honestly serious about finishing strong cant afford to go through life on a cruise control. Now,having stressed that, lets go on to the heart of the matter, many people have an unusual yet seemingly normal mindset towards temptations and one cant blame them because thats what theyve been used to while growing up and it has become a stronghold in their mindset and thats the serious fear of temptation. Yes,people dread temptations almost as much as they dread the devil himself, in fact some even believe that some temptations are completely impossible to overcome and so they happily cave in at the slightest temptation situation but the above scripture verse shed light on a very powerful revelation that can forever impact your life and its talking about the fact that when tempted, patience is produced which will actually make the person strong and overtime will be able to withstand any mountain whatsoever. the key thing question here-How do you view temptation? like a stepping stone or like a stumbling block, which ever way you choose to view it will ultimately produce results. the amplified version of the bible of this particular scripture verse says that the trying of your faith(I.e your belief in temptation to bring out the best in you) produces patience, steadfastness, and endurance. Believe me,we desperately need those 3 qualities, and to be frank without them,we will be like football to the devil. Be mindful and have faith in this, its the holy spirit that will be producing this qualities and working them into the core of your personality as you choose to have faith in the fact that for every temptation situation you face and have it firmly fixed in your mind that you will not cave in,and that his strength is available to keep you from caving in and also produce patience, endurance, and steadfastness, and the end result is that you can boldly confront anything you face and always be victorious
