James 4:8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. ....... Have you ever thought, If I give control to the Lord, then I loose it--and thats scary, God could lead me somewhere I dont want to go! Stop and consider the Lords character and motives: Holy and sinless, He has infinite wisdom, perfect knowledge, and an internal perspective. He also loves you and has the power to work all things for your good. With this being said, who do you think would be a better master to your life...you or Him? We grieve the Holy Spirit when we say yes to sin, and stifle Him when we say no to God. Dont let yourself be discouraged by the magnitude of this call to submission. NONE of us can attain sinless perfection on earth, but each time we take a step of obedience and kick that liar Satan behind us, sins hold on us will lesson. Dont just be a fan of Jesus--follow Him. Press on---and soon youll begin to live in freedom of enslavement to the most amazing Master youve ever known. Come near to God and He will come near to you! Father, today I pray for the problems each one of us have, but especially for that one person that has the tremendous problem of thinking they have no problems at all. May your week ahead be safe and abundantly blessed my friends~
