James Pearces Liverpool FC USA tour diary: Fan is on song to lift Rodgers and his Reds One fan serenaded Brendan Rodgers when he emerged on to the Fenway Park turf for the open training session. Rijul Sharda gave a sterling solo performance as he chanted the Kop’s tribute to the Liverpool FC boss. The 20-year-old is a student at the University of Delhi and is on a nine-city tour of the United States. His parents have already returned to India but he extended his stay when he realised there was the opportunity to see his heroes in the flesh for the first time. Sharda, who has the Liverpool crest tattooed on his arm, caught the eye of Daniel Sturridge after training at Harvard earlier in the week. To the youngster’s delight, the Reds striker signed his tattoo and posted the photo to his Twitter account.
