Jammu Kashmir National Front Head Office Srinagar Kashmir Phone Office:0194-2310273 Jammu Kashmir National Front has appealed the United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) to play its role in easing the tension between two hostile nuclear powers on the Line of Control (LoC) so that both the countries can concentrate on resolving the long pending Kashmir dispute. The party has said that the UNMOGIP has every responsibility to maintain peace along the LoC because it is meant for it. It further said that the tension along the most militarized border line has resulted in the internal displacement adding new problems for the Kashmiris of both the sides. Commenting on the LoC tension between New Delhi and Islamabad, the party said that it is an effort to dump the Kashmir dispute under the garbage of border tension. “There are such elements who continuously work to sabotage the peace of South Asia by creating tension between the two neighbouring countries and the need of the hour is to defeat such elements and both the parties have to show maturity and responsible in this regard,” the party said and added “India at first alleged the non state actors for the killings of its five soldiers on LoC and when Hindu extremist forces pressurized it, New Delhi, alleged Pakistan clearly showing how the negative elements play their role in damaging the relations between India and Pakistan.” The party added that the killings on the LoC are the result of internal bickering within forces, even the local sources are believed the killings are the result of honour killing. Sop need of the hour is that both the countries should show maturity and investigate jointly the incidents which took place along the LoC. Such hostile situation has always been a hindrance in the way of resolution of the Kashmir dispute resulting in the increase in the sufferings of Kashmiris on both sides of the bloody LoC. National Front has appealed India and Pakistan to ease the border tension and sit together for the final settlement of Kashmir dispute so that not only the peace and security of the region is safeguarded but the negative elements are defeated and the lives on either sides of the LoC are secured.
