Jane DeGoosh Cramer Fairlee, Vt. — Jane (DeGoosh) Cramer died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She was born on June 26, 1929, to the late Howard Elmer DeGoosh and Nettie Pushee DeGoosh. Jane was the sixth of 13 children. Jane graduated from Orford High School in 1949 and was married to her high school sweetheart, Reginald (Joe) Cramer, Jr. on June 11, 1950. Jane worked for 13 years as the Town Clerk in Fairlee, and later as Assistant Town Clerk for the town of Thetford. In her earlier years, Jane enjoyed working with children in various schools in the area. Jane’s most important job, however, was being wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family, whom she loved dearly. Some of Jane’s happiest times were visiting with friends and family on her front porch, solving word puzzles she found in the daily newspaper, and playing cards with her husband and family in the evenings. Jane is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joe; her four children: Rebecca Jane (Cramer) Wing, of Lisbon, N.H., Reginald H. Cramer III and Amy of Fairlee, Timothy H. Cramer and Ellen of Bath, N.H., and Donna Lynn Cramer of Fairlee. Jane had 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by six siblings: Anne DeGoosh of Lyme, N.H., Sue Alexander of Melbourne, Fla., John DeGoosh of Las Vegas, Nev., Kent DeGoosh of Franklin, Vt., Nettie Ackerman of Piermont, N.H., and Nancy Radtke of Wellington, Nev.; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Jane is predeceased by in-laws, Reg and Edna Cramer, son-in-law Russell Wing on May 29, 2014; siblings, Coburn DeGoosh, Richard DeGoosh, Ellsworth “Stub” DeGoosh, Mary (DeGoosh) Wing, Howard DeGoosh, and David DeGoosh. A memorial and celebration of life gathering will be held at Reg and Amy Cramer’s home, 2002 Terry Hill Road, Fairlee, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Hale Funeral Home, 187 Upper Plain, Bradford, Vt. is in charge of arrangements.
