Janet Bewley, A Progressive Obamaphile Who Is Wrong For Northern Wisconsin Chip Drewry Monday July 07, 2014 @ 9:01 AM CDT Janet Bewley, A Progressive Obamaphile Who Is Wrong For Northern Wisconsin. All you need to know about Janet Bewley is one word. Progressive. She’s even proud of it as she states it on her Twitter page: The progressive ideology is one of part communist and part fascist. Kind of a quasi-collectivist national socialism if you will. She likes big government running our lives with people like her in charge of big government running our lives. There is nothing individual about the progressive, they are all collectivist. She is exactly like Barack Obama, and if you think what we’ve had to endure for the last six years has been a good thing, by all means, vote for her. WHY I’M RUNNING My answer, simply, is that I want to serve – to give something back. I’m not a career politician, I’m just the right person for the job. Not a career politician? Well, she’s already served a couple of terms in the assembly, now she wants to serve in the senate and claims she’s not a career politician? Huh! I’ll be darned. Right person for the job? She’s against job creation unless it’s the type of job she approves of. She’s against the mine which would lift this entire area out of poverty with good paying jobs and a larger tax base, and that in turn trickles down and helps other businesses and the entrepreneur. When I first ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly four years ago to represent the 74th district and was elected, my first thought was “Could I make a difference?” Now, as I work to earn your support for State Senate, I realize that the issues facing us during my first two terms in the State Assembly have only intensified, and are now in even greater need: Creating dependable family-sustaining jobs Protecting the integrity of local governance and control Quality education that is funded fairly Sensible stewardship of our natural resources and preservation of our rich outdoor sporting heritage Strong, thriving hometowns In other words, just like Obama. No jobs that are worth anything, more money for a failing education system that we have thrown tons of money at for the last 35 years with disastrous results, and she’s a radical environmental zealot. Quite simply put, more of the same proven failures. It looks to me like she really doesn’t care much about the people and quality of life up here. Whenever the word, “sustainable” or a variant thereof is used, you automatically know the person is an environmental zealot who will oppose damned near everything. So Joe Blow who’s trying to raise a family and pay the bills on a 10 dollar an hour job who is longing for an opportunity with a much better outcome takes a back seat to Bewely. No new jobs up here unless they are green sustainable jobs! Otherwise, you good folks can just go hungry. Apparently, she doesn’t understand that the utopian green economy is a miserable failure. Spain is a prime example. But in her mind she probably thinks it didn’t work over there because the right people weren’t in charge, so naturally in her ideological little mind, it’ll be different this time! No. The reality is, it won’t. So tell me. She spent a couple of terms in the assembly… What has she done to make your life better? What has she done to help promote business? What has she done to help this part of the state? Have her policies helped you at all? While we’re at it, what has she accomplished while serving in the assembly? Anybody? Can anybody name anything? I didn’t think so. She’s never held a real job in her entire life, just like Barack Obama. Rice Foundation, Executive Director Northland College, Dean of Students There’s no “professional career” at all. She’s been getting handouts. It looks like she’s never worked in the private sector free market economy and has no idea whatsoever how it works. Let’s take a brief look at a radical voting record that has “helped” everybody in this area shall we? Voted NO to limit the Sec. of State’s roll in legislation. In other words, voted against smaller government. Voted NO to use deadly force in self-defense. Voted NO for lowering property taxes Voted NO for requiring two-thirds of the legislature for tax increases. Voting yes makes it harder for the state to raise your property taxes. To sum it up, Janet Bewely is anti-Bill of Rights, anti-business, anti-jobs, anti-mining, pro taxes, pro labor, and a tree hugging zealot. She also failed the political courage test.
