Jane’s Addiction have released a lyric video for new track Another Soulmate. View it below. And if it’s a little different from what you might expect, frontman Perry Farrell will be happy with that. He tells Rolling Stone: “Jane’s is kind of known for long songs. This is a one-song single – I thought it would be interesting to try and write a Beatles-esque short song that would be fast and furious. “It would just be fun: dig it and move on, short attention span.” He explains the lyrics were inspired by a friend of his wife: “This friend, as all people do, really wanted a mate – and I think she shortchanged herself an awful lot in life. “We would scratch our heads, like, ‘What is she doing with this guy?’ Any time she’d meet a guy she’d say, ‘I feel like he’s my soulmate.’ So I wrote this song.” Jane’s Addiction are currently touring the US alongside Alice In Chains, Coheed And Cambria and Circa Survive. youtu.be/lVow0YkDBC4
