Janice Peacock Ovens To my Son Iain. I have tried to post this to your page twice but it didnt happen so shall put it up on mine. Hi Son it is 37 years ago today since I gave birth to you and that was a day to remember. It was the early hours when I was rushed to Galashields Cottage Hospital to have you and we were all in a panic but I made it to the hospital in time for your arrival which is more than I can say for my GP. When I got to the hospital one of the three nurses on duty had to phone the Dr to come for the delivery but by the time she got back from the phone you had arrived and all she had to do was cut the cord lol. Her face was a picture and so was mine. The Dr was not to happy at being called out his bed because by the time he got to us we were settled you in your cot and me in a bed. I was mortified when the nurse started to rhyme our the contents of my case as we had to get it together in a hurry. She called out 1 housecoat Pjs pants bras and 1 pair of gents slippers, what a red neck. I didnt have any slippers as I always went about bare foot so your granddad thought he would just slip his in my bag lol. Well that was the 2nd November 1976 and I just want you to know that I am so PROUD and PRIVILAGED to be your Mum and always will be . We never stayed in Galashields long enough for you to enter the BRAW LAD competition but you are MY BRAW LAD today tomorrow and forever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SON, I love you xxx
