January 18, 2014 Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.—Isaiah 58:8 “I want you to pull the car into the garage when we get home.” “Uh, okay?? Why?” “I need to fix it.” “Um, okay? I didn’t know it was broken.” “It must be. I need to get it in my garage to see what is wrong with the turn signals.” “There is nothing wrong with the turn signals…see.” “Ah, well that is nice to know. I really didn’t want to add this car to my list of things to fix. But I have one question for you.” “Um, okay? What is it?” “If there is nothing wrong with the turn signals, then why won’t you use them?” “Oh, that. It is simple. They keep going on and off. I don’t want to confuse the driver’s around me.” This is a typical conversation that I have with my husband whenever we go somewhere together and I am the driver. Over time, we have shortened the conversation just by a few lines, however, the point is the same. I don’t always use my turn signals and it drives him insane. Have you ever had that feeling with your walk? Your walk is on and off again and confusing all those around you. It appears to be broken and needs the Master Mechanic to repair the short. Good news, God’s Garage is open twenty-four hours a day. There is no line or waiting list. All comers are welcome. No appointment is needed. Just come as you are. If you find yourself in this situation, where you are not sure where to be or what you are to do, come to the garage for repairs. So why come if you are the one being driven insane? Simple. Not only is God’s Garage a repair shop for broken or shorted vessels, but also a teaching garage for junior mechanics. Come to Him who is all knowing and merciful to be refilled and ready to intercede once again. After so long your tanks may start to run dry and you need a fresh filling to proceed forward on your path. All who come to the garage are reminded that the repair manual is always available, but it is only as good as you allow it to be…you must read the instructions in order for the repairs to begin. I implore you to seek the garage and owner’s manual and repair the defect and refill the tanks. The kingdom awaits.
