January 1st is fast approaching. It will be an exciting day for me, my family and all that supported me in the election. I cannot say thank you enough to EVERYONE that voted in both elections and especially those that had the confidence in me to lead the Grayson County Sheriffs Office in the future. The only promise I made during my campaign was that I would lead with integrity and do my best to make Grayson County proud to have me as their next sheriff. Decisions on my staff have NOT and will NOT be political ones, but based on what I believe will be best for the Sheriffs Department and the citizens of Grayson County. Please let me make this as clear as I possibly can. NO ONE was forced out of the Sheriffs Office by me. All current deputies that are employed with the department that contacted me and inquired about their future with the department will still have a job come January 1st. As stated from day one when someone would ask me who I was going to keep if I got elected, my response was simply, thats a conversation that I will have to have with the respective deputy. If a deputy sent someone in their place to inquire as to their future I would tell them that they needed to contact me. We will have an open door policy at the Sheriffs Department in Grayson County. If anyone ever has a question or concern about any decision I make as to staff or law enforcement I encourage you to come to me and voice that concern. I promise you will get a straight answer as to how I came to that conclusion. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and once again, I cannot wait to serve YOU as your next sheriff of Grayson County. THANKS AND GOD BLESS!
