January 3,2015 The Most Holy Name of Jesus First Saturday, Weekday in the Christmas Season Lord, just as the Holy Spirit revealed to John the Baptist that You are the Lamb of God, grant that Your Spirit may open my mind and heart to receive and comprehend the great mystery of Your divinity and deepen my faith, hope and love for You as I trust in the plans that You have for my life. Fill me with the power of Your Spirit that I may grow in the knowledge of Your great love and Truth and come to know and love You more fervently as I strive to do Your most holy will. Help me to be attentive and docile to Your Spirit’s inspirations and humbly recognize that You are the perfect, unblemished Lamb who takes away my sins and frees me from death and destruction of my body and soul. May I proclaim You with my life and faithfully follow the path You have chosen by attentively listening to You in prayer and seeing Your hand in all situations. May I have the determination to persevere in faith and never question Your ways, even if it may be contrary to my expectations. Amen Based on Today’s Gospel: John 1:29-34
