Japan’s World Cup soccer team held its first practice in Brazil yesterday. Fans rushed to see the Japanese stars. All 23 members joined the practice, including Shinji Okazaki who was injured in a friendly with Zambia the day before. Shinji Kagawa said he was grateful for the support. Protestors also gathered at the site, demanding improved public services and education. Japan’s Samurai Blue have their first match against Cote dIvoire on June 14th.
