Jason Fried works at 37 Signals (Chicago); heres the short story on the suggestions: (1) Quiet blocks of time, he suggests, silence at least one afternoon; (2) Effective use of collaborative tools; and (3) Cancel all meetings. As I listened to his talk, I thought about how so much of our elementary schools and high schools are organized like work; with too many interruptions and too little time for thought and activities. Other implications for improving learning and working environments?
