Jason Webley is one of my favorite musicians & performers, so of course I went to see his only daytime performance at OCF this year where he told a very amusing story about being invited to present at TED Talks. He did not seek the opportunity; they sought him. (Another musician TED brought that year was Sting.) Jason spoke of his mixed feelings about an event that charges $7K+ for tickets (almost $4K just to watch streaming video from a nearby building) while paying presenters nothing. Presenters are put into various categories (not of their own choosing); the category they put Jason in was called simply Why?. He took the theme & ran with it, creating this song just for the occasion.
