Jax. That is the name that goes with the sweet face you see in the pictures. He has graced CNHS with his goofy personality since July. Unfortunately, we were not his first stop in his long journey through the shelter world. Before arriving here, he had spent a while in another shelter that was no longer able to give him the opportunities he needed. His face is super sweet, but don’t expect a poised pup. He likes to rough house, and true to his nature, he LOVES to box. This 2-year old power house has energy like few others. Because of that, he is looking for a home that has no other pets and no small children. Jax does not make friends with other dogs or cats. Being as large of a dog as he is, the kennel life takes its toll. Often times, not getting as much time outside as he would like, Jax is left with lots of pent up energy just screaming to get out! Even worse, Jax has found himself some short-term medical complications that make his time outside even more restricted. The added time spent in the kennels is likely to stress him out to the max. That is why, now more than ever, Jax needs to find his forever home. Finding his perfect home is proving to be a tall order. He requires an owner that is experienced with boxers or similar breeds, who can handle his strength and energy, has no children or other pets, and can help him work past his temporary medical conditions. I know that this is a lot to ask, but it’s also true that if we pull together and help SHARE his story, that the right person could see this and offer Jax the future he needs.
