**Jazzy update** Thank you to those kind folks who helped us to get Jazzy the medical treatment she needed so desperately after we rescued her from the shelter. Because of you, we were able to save her life- twice, literally! Thank you so much for your donations and emotional support. We were able to cover most of the costs of her care. She had been scheduled for euthanasia, just because she was FIV+. Her full story was posted here just a couple of days ago. We knew she was sick, but we didnt know how bad it was. Frankly, when the emergency vet examined her, he was not sure she could survive. Her fever was very high (105) and would not break, despite antibiotics and fluids. She would not eat . The virus she carried was very bad and had taken the lives of many others at the shelter. He kept her in intensive 24/7 care for the whole weekend and have her strong injectable antibiotics and IV fluids- and it was iffy. But he did everything he could. But last night, due to intensive therapy, she turned the corner. Her fever broke, she started eating again on her own, and she is feeling much better. He said we could bring her home today. I picked her up tonight- and oh, what a difference! This is not the same sick kitty I dropped off two days ago. She is happy, feels good, is eating, and her temperature is normal. She is on the road to recovery and should be ready to go to her foster in a few days, and then will move on to the Virginia rescue ( Fancy Cats Rescue Team )in a few weeks who will find her a great home. Big Daddys legacy lives on, in these sweet FIV rescues- thank you so much for honoring him and these guys with your kind support!
