But, even still, I am not Charlie,and I dont have to be Charlie. French leaders need to truly understand their own philosophers or they will show themselves as hypocrites. Supporting freedom of expression means supporting everyones freedom of expression, thus one can support the right of someone to say even that which offends you, while exercising your own right to oppose that offender and, moreover, propose your own views--even if offensive to someone else. Freedom takes responsibility and work.
