Jeanne continued to work today on her breathing without the ventilator and using the CPAP machine. She did two different sessions today that lasted about 4 hours each! Slowly but surely she is working to increase her breathing! The infectious disease doctor said that all her blood cultures are coming back negative and that is great news! We are trying very hard to keep any infections and viruses away from her. I know many have asked about visiting her, but since it is cold and flu season we are really trying to limit the amount of visitors that she has right now. Even immediate family that is sick is staying away from her although that is very hard to do! We cannot risk her getting any type of cold/infection right now especially while on the ventilator. Friday we are meeting with all of her doctors and therapists to come up with some goals/plans for her in the near future. They did an x-ray today of her tail bone to see if it has healed enough to get her up in a chair. If we can get her into a seated position it will really help her lungs expand and help with some of her breathing issues. I know we say it often but we really do appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. Please continue to pray for Jeanne that she may continue to heal! - Kim
