Jeff & I met through a bowling league. At the time, I was working 2 jobs and became friends w/ a couple that bowled on the same league and worked out at the Y where I worked. Jeff worked w/ the Tina (of said couple) and when he would see Tina & me talking, he would come hang out. Over the next several weeks, I dated a couple of losers and one night while talking w/ Tina, I said, I dont care who he is, Im going to find The One! Jeff immediately asked me to dance (we were sitting at the bar in the bowling alley). I said no. !! Later, after walking Tina to her car, Jeff walked me to mine. We stood talking for nearly 2 hours. That was a Thursday night, March 5. Jeff called me at work the next day and asked me out for Sunday. I said yes. Then he invited me over for that evening for dinner. We watched a movie and talked all night long. I went home very early Saturday morning. Jeff picked me up for our date on Sunday afternoon (Childrens Museum, then dinner). He met my parents and my dad actually called him by name, as in Hi, Jeff. Dad had never once spoken to any of my other dates beyond a grunt. :-D It was really weird how we connected right away. When you know, you know, ya know? On Monday, March 9, I went over to Jeffs for another date. There was an ice storm that night, so we decided to order pizza and rent a movie. Yada yada yada. I told Jeff I loved him and he asked me to marry him. Obviously, I said yes. We were married 6 months later. This past September, we celebrated our 15th anniversary. Weve had ups and downs like every couple, but Jeff is absolutely my best friend. He is the love I always looked for. No, he is not perfect. But is perfect for me. And I thank God every day for His gift of Jeffs love.
