Jeff was the initial reason I have devoted the past 38 years to creativity. Following my passion I lost him in 1979. he came to live with Merry, Jessica and I in 1982 when he was 15, but only for a few months. I didnt see him again until I went to see him after he was killed by a drunk driver Feb 1st 1988. He was a handsome boy and man a beautiful human being with endless or instant friends everywhere he went. very intelligent and highly creative I was told that... The day of the funeral service church the sanctuary was packed and people were standing outside on the lawn. I flew down to West Palm Beach the day after I heard from Scott that Jeff had been killed. My brothers flew from Detroit to be with Jeffs Mother, my 1st wife and me. Then the next day I flew to Denver to work to do another two day creative thinking skills and strategies program for engineers and scientists. Work had become my obsession, my passion, my element. He had told his mother he wanted to be cremated when he died based on a friend of his who was killed as a teenager. Also he asked her to cast his ashes off the Boynton Beach Pier where he loved to fish, which she did to honor him. I have photos from some times when Jeff and Scott fished off the pier while I watch them on some weekends they stayed with me, Weekend Dad. Take no one you love for granted. Make sure you tell and show them that you love them in every way you can as often as possible.
