Jen and I have spent the last 3-4 weeks chasing the wildflower bloom (and having a blast doing so). Weve concentrated primarily on Yahoo Falls and Blue Heron areas but, weve also hiked and shot wildflowers at Natural Arch, Rock Creek, Porters Creek in the GSMNP, and Peters Mountain. If asked, I would recommend Yahoo Falls above all of the other places weve hiked. The area at Yahoo with the most concentrated wildflower varieties that we have found is the trail that actually goes along the river towards Alum Ford . Jen and I were there for 4.5 hours Saturday and we found numerous Jack-in-the-pulpit and Showy Orchis that we hadnt seen there even last week end. Great time to look for and capture images of wildflowers. :)
