Jen continues to make strides in her recovery. My sister Carol - TopicsExpress

Jen continues to make strides in her recovery. My sister Carol Waters Wilkins will head to Madrid tomorrow to bless them with her many gifts including being a physical therapist. Todays update: Dear Friends, Jen is getting stronger day by day, it is truly amazing the progress we have witnessed the past 48 hours. She is tired of sitting still. Last night during our visit she tried to get out of her chair to walk. She looked at me as if to say, why cant I get up to walk? Today she enjoyed visits from Gabriela and Dan, she remembers making a Mumford and Sons CD for Gabriela over two years ago. Gabriela was Jens Spanish teacher her freshman year. Maribel, Jens host grandmother, and Elizabeth and Eduard, friends of a friend, stopped by too. Jen enjoys the short visits as it helps break up her day! We do not know the timing yet, but Jen will undergo two surgeries to replace the portions of her skull that were removed. The surgeon shared that he needs to do one side at a time to minimize further risks. Today we received a meal from Daniel and Monica. Daniel is local pastor and signed up to provide a meal through the Take Them a Meal program. When we returned from the hospital we found an abundance of fruit and vegetables left at our door by Luz & Beltran and family. So many generous people! We continue to give praise to God for her recovery thus far. We ask that as you pray for our girl, Jen, in addition to her continued recovery please pray for her to understand how important it is to follow the doctors instructions. Shes anxious to get up and get moving but is at great risk if she should try to get up....typical parents, always worried about something! Love, John, Lisa, Jen and Dan
