Jennifer Zawadzki Campbell asked, HELP! Im looking for an easy first/second grade online or DVD school/curriculum/class for fall. I dont want anything crazy. I guess Im more of an unschooler. But, I want to hit the basics (quickly) then leave time for fun like science and art, Bible. I prefer someone else to do this teaching so my child can be more independent. (As he is with his DVD math program-see below) Obviously Ill be listening and close by. (I have a three-year-old and debilitating illness so...) What do you think is the most low-maintenance, online/DVD, Christian, non-common core, all-inclusive type program? BJU, Alpha Omega, A Beka, Freedom Project are some that I have investigated. Is BJU the simplest of those? I just want simple!! Not a ton of homework. NOT a lot of prep time. Just log on/pop in and go. Couple assignments out of a book done. Also, Im specifically looking for teacher instruction, not the millions of online games etc. We do that already. I love it, its fine, but I want to be sure hes learning in a logical order and hitting all he should for his level. Does that make sense? I currently use Math-U-See and it is this style of instruction that Im looking for! It is working perfectly! Literally a ten minute lesson with excellent instruction, some worksheets. Done. Now I need the same thing for English, spelling etc. Does it exist? Thanks!
